Kent Bernhardt

Production Coordinator

Kent has been the official "voice" of PRN since 1988, and joined the PRN team in December 2000 as Production Coordinator.

A native of Faith, NC, Kent attended The University of North Carolina at Charlotte before beginning his broadcasting career in 1977. He spent 13 years hosting "Salisbury's Early Morning News" on WSTP in Salisbury, NC, the station that spawned sportscasting greats like Bob Rathbun, Marty Brenneman, and PRN's own Doug Rice. He is a recognized voice for radio and TV commercials, has voiced numerous corporate productions.

He produces much of PRN's feature material, and in 2005, Kent was a co-recipient of the prestigious Barney Hall Award for outstanding motorsports radio reporting.

He is an active member of Milford Hills United Methodist Church where he sings in the choir and manages the church's web page. Kent is married and a proud dad of a daughter, McKenna. They make their home in Salisbury, NC.

In his spare time, he is an avid movie and theater buff, and has appeared in more than 30 regional stage productions.
