CONCORD, N.C. -- As the 2018 racing season takes the green flag, PRN's "At The Track" is celebrating another milestone after airing its 300th show in January.
For host Lenny Batycki, it's no surprise that the show has continued to grow, including last year's launch of the "Mid-America" version of PRN's "At The Track," which showcases short-track racers in America's heartland.
"Our guests tell the stories of grassroots racing in a way any listener can relate to," Batycki said. "Our show is genuine, unfiltered, dramatic and passionate. Not so much about the cars and components but about their journey and what it means to them."
"At The Track" is beginning its sixth full year of consecutive weekly broadcasts on over 50 affiliates in 14 states. Just last year, 251 individuals were interviewed on air, representing 110 tracks in 23 states and three countries, as well as over 25 series across the country.
"The success of 'At The Track' is a testament to Lenny Batycki's unbridled passion for motorsports at all levels," said PRN President and General Manager Doug Rice. "Whether it's introducing the world to the next rising star in the U.S. Legends Car Series or catching up with the most successful drivers in the short-track ranks, there's no question that 'At The Track' has continued to grow because of Lenny."
With decades of experience at the highest levels of motorsports, Batycki is honored to help those climbing the ladder bring their story into the limelight. Past guests on 'At The Track' include NHRA Top Fuel champion Antron Brown, 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion William Byron and nine-time World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz.
"I've been very fortunate to have success in my career working at Rockingham, Richard Childress Racing and Gateway, but hosting PRN's 'At The Track' seems to be the place all the other work has led me to and I am very grateful to do this," Batycki explained.
Batycki's passion for bringing the stories of hometown heroes racing across the country on a weekly basis has been recognized by a number of national advertising partners, such as WIX Filters, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Bojangles' and CV Products. 'At The Track' is also pleased to announce that Valvoline is joining the program as a new partner in 2018.
"Marcus Smith, PRN and our sponsors provide our show as a platform for grassroots personalities to be heard and inspire. Guests that were on our show five years ago are now in NASCAR's Cup Series, World of Outlaws, and even Le Mans," Batycki said. "Any given week, we may be the first opportunity for a future star to connect with millions of listeners."
