'zMax Racing Country' Celebrates First Country Music Association Award Nomination

The Performance Racing Network is pleased to announce "zMax Racing Country" hosts Paul Schadt and Cathy Martindale along with producer Geof Knight have been nominated for the 48^th annual Country Music Association Awards National Broadcast Personality of the Year.

Hosts Paul Schadt and Cathy Martindale have been working together for over 18 years bringing "zMax Racing Country" listeners the best selection of country music and original interviews straight from the NASCAR garage and the Nashville recording studios.

Cathy Martindale, who joined "zMax Racing Country" as co-host in 1994 and spent most of her radio career in Nashville at the legendary WSM AM/FM station, along with television hosting duties at The Nashville Network, delivers exclusive one-on-one insider interviews with Nashville stars big and small.

"I am honored to be a part of such a great team at zMax Racing Country," said Martindale. "This nomination is a great refection on all of our hard work."

This is one of two nominations for Country Radio Hall of Famer Paul Schadt. Schadt, the longest consecutive on-air personality in Charlotte, N.C. radio history, along with his WKKT 96.9 "The Kat" morning show co-host Meg Butterly and producer Geof Knight, was also nominated in the Major Market Personality of the Year category.

Winners will be announced Wednesday, Nov. 5 during the 48^th annual CMA Awards in Nashville, TN.
